My Son Says I’m Terrifying

Last week, my 8th grader asked if he could invite friends over. “Sure,” I said.

“The only thing is, Mom…they’re girls.”

“Well, I’m a girl too, so that’s fine.”

Then my son said, “And the thing is, I mean, I think you’ll be OK with this, but they’re not regular 14-year-old girls.”
